Road to Nova Scotia

We spent a few days exploring the Las Vegas Strip. We enjoyed sightseeing, people watching, wandering through the different casinos, and finding restaurants that have been on Meghan’s must eat list. On our adventures we discovered Zoox, a fully autonomous taxi/uber like service. It’s still in the trial phase as they continue to map out the routes, this very much worked out in our favor, they were completely free for users during the trail phase the only caveat was you had to choose from a dozen or so preset locations. I made the mistake of sitting backwards our first ride which made my already dubious self significantly more anxious for our little jaunt. We however survived and then were zooxing our way all around Vegas for the next few days.

We grabbed some tacos and a flaming skull dessert at Chica on our first day and they did not disappoint! Meghan while searching for a good place to watch the Packers vs Bears game came across Atomic Golf, they had unlimited food, drinks, and top golf style golf for an incredibly reasonable price! It was a dangerously good time and it’s confirmed after playing multiple different games Meghan is by far the better golfer. We felt we couldn’t leave Vegas without having the quintessential buffet experience so we hit the Wynn buffet via zoox. We were planning on skipping town and making our way to Zion but talked with my brother who was traveling via car to his new home in LA from Minnesota and we discovered we would be able to met up and have a night in Vegas together.

Hans arrived the next night and we hit the town. We had to show him our new found transport and zooxed around. We hit a Taco Bell cantina explored the strip and then tried our hand at black jack! Hans came away 300 in the positive, and I doubled my $40 bucks, which paid for Meghan losing hers. We met in the morning for breakfast, where Hans and Meghan got to kahooting. My sister Hannah and her husband Tanner were flying into LA the next day to dog sit for Hans. A breakfast later we were driving the wrong direction and heading west again to LA.
