Our first Joshua Tree stop was a night in Pioneertown. Neat place to pit stop and walk around for a day, it was founded in the 1940’s with the idea of a living movie set from Dick Curtis, a dozen or so western actors of the time banded together to buy the land and build a movie set that also functioned as a small town. The buildings were fully functional bars restaurants and shops. We walked through town, visited the little museum, and enjoyed a great BBQ dinner with live music!
