We spent the following day at Lake Vermillion State Park just outside Mitchell South Dakota. We had the entire park to ourselves and got to watch a beautiful sunset over the lake. This was our first 30 amp electrical hookup, and first time we were able to put our slide-out out, resulting in such a quiet, peaceful, and spacious night! We found ourselves again very grateful for bathrooms as our water pump was on the fritz. Or so I thought.
Learning Experience #4 make darn sure you’ve turned ALL your water valves back on after winterizing.
The following day we continued west into Wyoming spending the night in Sheridan Wyoming after a lovely visit and dinner with the Lidahl Grandparents Larry and Karen.
Here I fixed all the water valves and added some more water to the tank, and discovered I had damaged the water pump’s diaphragm which cause a hell of a leak when the pump was running. So, for now we remain relatively waterless as we continue west.
